Steel Manufacturing Scale Pit Dewatering in Jalna, India
◎ Models Installed:BD Series - Submersible Dewatering Pumps
◎ Description:
Steel manufacturing consumes large volumes of water for processes such as furnace cooling and product quenching. At a steel plant in Jalna, India, long-term buildup of iron filings in the scale pit threatened to reduce production efficiency. To remove the sediment without halting operations, the plant selected HCP PUMP BD Series Dewatering Pump model 150(200)BD222, designed for high-flow water transfer and abrasive fluid handling. The efficient dewatering allowed the plant to clear the pit while keeping production on schedule. The BD Series features HiCrFC high-chromium steel impellers with hardness HRC55-60, heat-treated FCD500 ductile iron casings, and a durable EPDM-coated mechanical seal bracket, a combination of wear-resistance and extended pump service life. Once in operation, the pump promptly extracted the water, keeping the production line running smoothly and delivering on time. This case demonstrates the BD Series’ durability and reliability in demanding industrial settings where performance and uptime are critical.
BD series - submersible dewatering pumps has won 31th Taiwan Excellence Award!
